“How do I start developing a new product with your factory?”
That made us realize: while we often talk about what we can do, we haven’t explained how the process actually works from the client’s perspective.
So here it is — a simple, transparent guide on how to start a new OEM/ODM project with us.
1. Share Your Concept
It doesn’t need to be perfect. A simple sketch, a mock-up, or even a link to a reference product is enough. This helps Relipet understand your basic idea and design direction.
What you can send us:

A hand-drawn sketch

A photo of a similar product

A link to an existing product on Amazon or another platform

A 3D file (if you have one)
2. Tell Us About Your Target Market
Knowing where the product will be sold helps us design it properly.
Amazon / Online Retailers:

Packaging dimensions matter a lot

The product should be designed with efficient box sizing in mind to reduce shipping costs

Lightweight and compact designs are preferred
Pet Stores / Brick-and-Mortar:

Less emphasis on packaging size

More focus on durability, ease of assembly, and in-store presentation

Products that look premium on the shelf tend to sell better
3. Price Positioning
If you have a target price range (e.g., DDP or retail), it helps us select the right materials and components.
Alternatively, sharing a reference product already on the market works well too.
Don’t worry if you’re unsure — these details can be discussed and adjusted through communication. We can help you find the right balance between cost and quality.
4. Timeline
From receiving your concept to delivering the first sample, the typical timeline is around 10–25 working days, depending on complexity.
5. Sample & Tooling
A one-time sample development fee is usually required. Your design will be fully protected under our NDA.
6. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
MOQ varies depending on product size and complexity.
As a general reference:

Small items (e.g., cat toys, scratch pads): higher MOQ

Medium items (e.g., cat trees 60–100cm): moderate MOQ

Large items (e.g., cat castles, XL towers): lower MOQ
